Sustainability

The University of Alabama

Will the redesign be sustained now that the grant period is over?

The University of Alabama is committed to the use of computer-based instruction in pre-calculus mathematics courses as long as student learning is enhanced. The university has committed substantial funding to expand the MTLC which has allowed additional courses to be taught in the facility. As of fall 2002, the MTLC is providing instruction for all students enrolled in Introductory Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, Pre-calculus Algebra and for pilot sections of Finite Mathematics. The university intends to continue to expand the use of computer-based instruction to additional courses in the pre-calculus sequence.
